The seminar is being held at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen and features a keynote Address on 'Innovation in Construction' by Kevin McCloud, Presenter of Channel 4's Grand Designs.
Sustainability is of increasing importance to the efficient, effective and responsible operation of business. This is especially true in the construction industry as sustainable construction is a key element in becoming a socially responsible organisation.
Keynote presenter, Kevin McCloud will be accompanied by case study presentations from other regions leading the way in sustainable construction plus updates on new legislation. Sustainability in construction is becoming an expectation and is likely to be required by legislation in the near future.
The programme comprises seven plenary presentations in the afternoon, plus a small exhibition and the conference will close with a short wine reception. For details of the programme, click here(PDF).

The half-day event on sustainable construction is for all those in business or public bodies with responsibility for construction projects, strategy, budgets or procurement decisions. Owners, senior managers, project managers, procurement and environmental specialists, regulators, trade bodies and construction clients.
The venue was selected as it offered delegates with an example of best practice. All food and beverages were sourced where possible from local producers, and was also organic or fairtrade. The venue is readily accessible by public transport - www.aecc.co.uk
